"Heartbound Ministries: Art from the Inside” exhibits the significant, often overlooked talent of artists who are currently imprisoned. Approximately 60 works of art are on view, representing a wide range of artistic styles and mediums, including sculptures and displays crafted from objects found around the prison. The sale of these works benefits Heartbound’s Little Readers Book Club, which allows children of incarcerated parents to see and hear their parent reading to them via DVD. “Art from the Inside” is the only annual exhibition of art by prisoners in the state of Georgia.

Haunted Montrose

Throughout the month of October, Haunted Montrose is celebrating 14 years of striking fear into visitor’s hearts. Haunted Montrose sits in a remote cornfield, silently waiting for nightfall when the terror starts. An old house, cemetery, and cornfield appear normal at first glance, but the Slaughters’ collection of skins, eclectic tools of destruction and a noose designed for torturous death makes you wonder about the family who lived here and what still may be lurking inside Havoc 3-D and Experimental or when it last had human contact!

Bostwick 5K Gin Run

Historic Heartland
Come join all the fun at the Annual Bostwick Gin Run 5K. The start/finish is located at the Bostwick House on 2nd Street. The entire course is run on paved streets throughout the Morgan County countryside. 5K starts at 6:30 PM. Sunset is at 6:54 PM. Flashlights and/or headlamps are recommended. Shamrock Smash Pickleball Tournament

Calling all picklers to try your paddles out during Shamrock Smash Pickleball Tournament Saturday, October 23 and Sunday, October 24 at 8 a.m. at Hilburn Park in Dublin, Ga. Registration fee is $40 and includes one event. Additional events are $10. Participants may play in up to 2 events as long as the events take place on different days. Participants must also be a member of the Georgia Pickleball Association (GPA).

Rock City's Rocktober Fest

Rock City’s Rocktoberfest runs Saturdays and Sundays in October (Oct. 2 through Oct.31), from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Get in touch with Rock City’s German heritage during the 15th annual Rocktoberfest. Rock City Square will be transformed for a celebration of harvests and fall foliage. This premiere autumn festival includes German music with live performances by the Wurstbrats and Musik Miesters. Other offerings returning this year are the Rock City Raptors birds of prey shows. IK The Troll King, Jerry the Mime and Caricature Artist Dennis Hart! Step into German culture as we celebrate and honor our founder Frieda Utermoehlen Carter’s heritage, with German food and fun for the whole family. Smith Farm Fest Featuring Scott Brantley

Smith Farm Fest featuring Scott Brantley and The Big Cooler Crew is back, playing your favorite tunes down on the farm Saturday, Oct. 23. Pack your lawn chairs and coolers to create a truckload of memories with a good ole fashion shindig in the country starting at 4 p.m. Music starts at 6 p.m. Ages 5 and under are free. Ricky’s Snak Shack will be on site serving food and drinks.

Located on Madison Street in Downtown Dublin, the Market on Madison is a premier open-air venue with a weekly offering of local and organic produce, as well as artisan foods, farm-raised eggs, and raw honey each Saturday morning 7:30 AM until 12:30 PM from April through October. Patrons will also find a variety of handmade crafts and original art. Over the last eight seasons, Dublin’s farmers market has experienced much growth, noting more than 30 vendors each week and 350 patrons during peak produce season.
