Food That Rocks

Food That Rocks, a tasting event celebrating the vibrant and expanding dining scene in Sandy Springs, returns to City Springs this Sept. 23, 24 & 25! Food That Rocks is three nights and a Saturday afternoon session, creating smaller, more intimate experiences featuring tastings from participating restaurants, wine, beer, and cocktail tastings and live music. Tickets are $90 and a portion of each ticket sold will cover the cost to allow a select number of COVID frontline healthcare and public safety workers to attend free of charge as a special thank you for their efforts during the pandemic. Purchase tix at www.FoodThatRocks.org. Tix are all-inclusive. Guests must be at least 21 years old to participate.

Brown Bag Lunchtime Concerts

Grab your lunch at one of the many great restaurants around the Square and meet your friends and co-workers at Glover Park for the Brown Bag Concert Series. The Brown Bag Concert Series features FREE music from noon - 1 p.m. every Thursday in May & September in the Historic Marietta Square.

"Heartbound Ministries: Art from the Inside” exhibits the significant, often overlooked talent of artists who are currently imprisoned. Approximately 60 works of art are on view, representing a wide range of artistic styles and mediums, including sculptures and displays crafted from objects found around the prison. The sale of these works benefits Heartbound’s Little Readers Book Club, which allows children of incarcerated parents to see and hear their parent reading to them via DVD. “Art from the Inside” is the only annual exhibition of art by prisoners in the state of Georgia.

Nella skyrocketed to international renown fueled by her powerhouse voice and undeniable presence. In a short time, she went from Berklee College of Music graduate to winner of the 2019 Latin GRAMMY Award for Best New Artist.

Glover Park Concert

Concert Details - The Big Chicken Beatles Band will perform Hits of the Beatles. All concerts are free and begin at 8 p.m. Only blankets and lawn chairs are allowed inside of Glover Park. Tables, tarps and plastic ground coverings are prohibited inside of Glover Park and will be removed. Rope, tape, stakes, etc. used to section off areas inside the park will be removed. No tents, canopies or other shade structures, including umbrellas, are permitted. Tables and chairs may be brought and set up in the street on North and East Park Square after 6 p.m. Any additional questions please contact 770-794-5601.

Your State Parks Day

Northeast Georgia Mountains
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Volunteers around the country will be helping to improve their favorite state park or historic site on this special day. We hope you will join us in improving Hardman Farm. We will break for lunch at noon. Volunteers may leave for lunch, or bring a lunch to eat at our picnic tables. Volunteers will receive a complimentary tour of the house at 1:00 p.m.

Downtown Dublin Farmers Market

Located on Madison Street in Downtown Dublin, the Market on Madison is a premier open-air venue with a weekly offering of local and organic produce, as well as artisan foods, farm-raised eggs, and raw honey each Saturday morning 7:30 AM until 12:30 PM from April through October. Patrons will also find a variety of handmade crafts and original art. Over the last eight seasons, Dublin’s farmers market has experienced much growth, noting more than 30 vendors each week and 350 patrons during peak produce season.

Fall 2021 Gardening Lecture Series

North Fulton Master Gardeners, Inc., continues to provide horticultural education to the North Fulton community and beyond through FREE virtual gardening education programming. This series of seven classes begins Wednesday, Sept. 1, and will be available through live Zoom webinars and Facebook Live. "The Sweet Delilah Swim Club"

Five Southern women, whose friendships began many years ago on their college swim team, set aside a long weekend every August to recharge those relationships. Free from husbands, kids and jobs they meet at the same beach cottage on North Carolina’s Outer Banks to catch up, laugh, and meddle in each other’s lives. The play focuses on four of those weekends and spans a period of 33 years at ages 44, 45, 54 and 77. The theme for this show is friendship. Come with a group of your friends and we will take your picture for our Facebook page, recognize you before the show starts and enter you in a drawing for a Season Ticket.
