Discover how to “Disrupt Aging” from nationally and locally recognized speakers at a two-day symposium March 6 - 7. The Friday night reception and Saturday workshops focus on healthy positive aging, maintaining your quality of life, and interactive exercises. The symposium will be held at the University of North Georgia Gainesville Campus. Interested community members, health professionals, and licensed health care workers can register to attend at or by calling University of North Georgia at 678-717-3605 during normal business hours. Friday’s keynote speaker is Dr. Harry “Rick” Moody, a nationally recognized authority on successful aging. Saturday's keynote speaker is Debra Tyler-Horton, Georgia's AARP Executive Director. Wisdom Project 2030, Inc., UNG Center for Healthy Aging, and Georgia Division of Aging Services are hosts. The Georgia Gerontology Society, Brenau University Center for Productive Living and Brenau University Learning and Leisure Institute are partnering in this event.
