Telfair Museums is excited to offer local residents free weekend admission to the Jepson Center and Telfair Academy starting April 2- Aug. 28! Residents are invited to explore the largest museum exhibition of work by African American artist, William O. Golding, in The Art of William O. Golding: Hard Knocks, Hardships, and Lots of Experience on view at the Jepson Center, along with other featured exhibitions free of charge. Free weekend admission includes residents of the following counties: Chatham, Bryan, Effingham, Liberty (Georgia), Beaufort (S.C.), Jasper (S.C.)

Downtown Dublin Farmers Market

Located on Madison Street in Downtown Dublin, the Market on Madison is a premier open-air venue with a weekly offering of local and organic produce, as well as artisan foods, farm-raised eggs, and raw honey each Saturday morning 7:30 AM until 12:30 PM from April through October. Patrons will also find a variety of handmade crafts and original art. Over the last nine seasons, Dublin’s farmers market has experienced much growth, noting more than 30 vendors each week and 350 patrons during peak produce season.

Plein Air International Paint-Out

September 8-11, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. - Fannin County’s “Art Town” provides the perfect setting for nature and art to come together during our 2022 Plein Air International Paint-Out Event. This 4-day event provides a multitude of opportunities to capture the spirit of plein air and the inherent natural beauty of our area. Artists from all over the country travel to our community to enjoy the county-wide paint-outs, participate in master workshops, enjoy a quick draw event and silent auction, and enjoy networking with fellow Plein air artists. Prizes totaling $1,000 will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.

Buffalo Creek Fall Festival

The Carroll County Master Gardeners will be holding the 2nd Annual Buffalo Creek Fall Festival on Sept. 10. This year's event features workshops and storytelling for children outside the old one-room schoolhouse, local food trucks, featured speakers on gardening topics and more than 70 vendors inside and out and a petting zoo. Master Gardeners will be holding a plant sale, plus enjoy guided tours of the Buffalo Creek Trail by members of the Native Plant Society. The 2nd Annual Buffalo Creek Fall Festival will be held at the Carroll County Agricultural Center located at 900 Newnan Road, Carrollton. Event runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is a FREE community event sponsored by the Carroll County Master Gardeners.
