On Oct. 2-4, ACT Education Corp. will convene workforce and economic developers, employers, human resource specialists, educators and industry partners from around the country in Atlanta for its annual summit on developing a skills-based workforce.

Media can expect to interact with thought leaders and sources with expertise on topics such as skills-based hiring, apprenticeships, industry-recognized credentials, adult basic education, employer outcomes, learning pathways, talent pipelines, partnership engagement, state policy and community colleges.

Plenary speakers include LaShana Lewis, chair of the STARs Advisory Council for Opportunity@Work, and Dr. Ian Mortimer, founding president of the Golisano Institute for Business & Entrepreneurship.
