In recognition of the vital importance of increased visibility and diverse representation of LGBTQ+ communities and issues, particularly in our rural areas, the Steffen Thomas Museum of Art is honored to present Queer Perspectives, a juried exhibition in Fall 2024.

The Madison Artists Guild & Gallery's 6th Annual Holiday Market is filled with one of a kind gifts ready to purchase for the holidays – wreaths, ornaments, pottery, jewelry, glass art, paintings and more.
The market will be open Oct. 18-Dec. 31, during regular MAGallery hours: Monday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m., with extended hours of 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Shop Sip ‘N Stroll Saturdays in November, during Madison’s Fifth Fridays (open until 7 p.m.), Holiday Tour of Homes and Candlelight Shopping (open until 7 p.m.).
With more than 30 artists providing a variety of handmade items, shoppers will find something for everyone this holiday season.

Dublin Service League’s 59th Annual Fair and Marketplace, featuring fabulous antiques, jewelry and gift vendors from across the Southeast, delights the most discriminating shopper. From decor to jewelry, clothing to art, the Fair and Marketplace is the ideal place to start and finish your holiday shopping. Shop on Tuesday, November 12th from 10 AM to 8 PM and Wednesday, November 13th from 10 AM to 3 PM.

Join Zoo Atlanta for a morning of learning and discovery designed specifically for homeschool students!
HomeSchool Academy is a two-hour program that allows students to explore animal and science concepts in an engaging, interactive environment. Programs are grade-appropriate and include hands-on, minds-on activities and Zoo tours that hone students’ STEM skillsets in a collaborative environment. Each semester, students will gain a deeper understanding of animals’ unique adaptations and will leave with an increased connection to wildlife and a greater desire to take conservation action.

Come take a stroll through the world where differences are cherished and kindness flourishes, a world we’d all like to live in, a world envisioned and created by artists and friends Maxine Hess and Jeanne Hewell-Chambers--on exhibit at the Southeastern Quilt and Textile Museum in Carrollton Sept. 26-Dec. 5.
Museum hours: 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.

No creature looms larger over the savanna than the African elephant, and you’ll agree when you come face-to-trunk with one at Zoo Atlanta! Meet Tara or Kelly while learning why they are such important ambassadors for their species.
During this Wild Encounter experience, you will learn about elephants with a Zoo Educator before heading behind the scenes to meet up with members of the Elephant Care Team and find out more about elephant care at the Zoo. Of course, no Elephant Wild Encounter would be complete without the opportunity to hand-feed one of the “girls” an afternoon snack.
- Meet at the Zambezi Elephant Center 15 minutes before the Wild Encounter.
- Please note that availability is limited for all Wild Encounters.
