Bear on the Square, an authentic Appalachian Heritage Festival featuring bluegrass and old-time music, celebrates its 28th year in Dahlonega.
In addition to the musicians in the MainStage tent and jamming around the Historic Square, the festival includes a juried Artists Market Place, featuring traditional mountain crafts, storytelling, free music workshops and demonstrations, wine and beer, a Sunday Gospel Jam, children’s activities, dancing and more.
All events are free except for the opening night fundraiser featuring Lonesome River Band in concert April 17.

The festival celebrates the creativity and culture that defines one of LaGrange’s most vibrant neighborhoods.

Fans can get their first look at the 2026 Georgia Tech Football Team at the annual White & Gold Game, presented by Renasant Bank, at 1 p.m. at Bobby Dodd Stadium at Hyundai Field, with free admission for all fans.
Before kickoff, Georgia Tech will host the first-ever Legends Brunch presented by Proof of the Pudding, an exclusive event featuring a full brunch buffet and a panel discussion with prominent former Yellow Jacket Head Coach and players. Limited tickets remain, and you can get yours by clicking here.
The day will also include a free on-field kids’ clinic for children ages 5–12 before the game, allowing young fans to take the field and learn football skills from 11 a.m.-12 p.m., with check-in starting at 10 a.m. Click here to claim your free kids' ticket.

It may be common to measure using standard tools such as measuring tapes and cups, but Measurement Rules explores non-standard tools such as balancing scales, odometers, calipers, 3-D imaging and counting “Mississippis.” Explore this exhibit and become confident in the language of measurement through length, weight, volume and time.
The museum is closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

We’ve all imagined what it’s like to live and work in space, but only a select few have done it. Opening on Oct. 10, those who have lived in space will share their experiences with visitors in our newest traveling exhibition, Journey to Space.
Using hands-on and large-scale interactive exhibits and multimedia components, Journey to Space gives visitors a glimpse at the extraordinary conditions of human space travel, as well as the unique challenges and rewards of life on board the International Space Station.

Everyone’s favorite Scottish nanny is headed to Evans, in this internationally acclaimed hit musical critics call “wonderful, heart-warming, and laugh-out-loud funny” (Manchester Evening News) and “a feel-good, family-friendly comedy that delivers” (The Hollywood Reporter).
Based on the beloved film, "Mrs. Doubtfire" tells the hysterical and heartfelt story of an out-of-work actor who will do anything for his kids. It’s “the lovable, big-hearted musical comedy we need right now,” raves the Chicago Tribune – one that proves we’re better together.

- Historic HeartlandArt Exhibit
The Steffen Thomas Museum of Art in Buckhead has been selected as one of 10 communities to host a curated traveling art exhibit of works from Georgia's State Art Collection. The exhibition, Reimagine Contemporary Georgia Artists, will be at the Museum from April 20 to May 29. It will feature works from the community's local and regional artists alongside featured works from the state collection.
The Museum is open Tuesday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

The natural world is at the center of good design. This panel will explore the critical role that the local environment plays in shaping thoughtful, beautiful spaces that stand the test of time.
Los Angeles interior designer Peter Dunham and landscape architect Patricia Benner, also based in Los Angeles, will join Veranda Executive Editor Ellen McGauley to discuss the powerful role landscape and natural materials play in the buildings and rooms we create, and their collaborations together.
Following the presentation, please join Dunham, Benner, and McGauley at the Kolo Collection showroom for a reception and signing of Dunham’s book, "The World of Peter Dunham: Global Style from Paris to Hollywood”—along with highlights of Sunbrella’s outdoor upholstery products across partners.
DESIGN ADAC is a three-day event celebrating design excellence, featuring world-class speakers, curated programming, and immersive experiences that blend creativity, culture, and luxury within ADAC’s more than 550,000 SF campus. DESIGN ADAC 2026 is April 21-23.
