Please join the Aiken Council of Garden Clubs for a two-day garden event. Tour six beautiful gardens located in historical downtown Aiken, SC. Shop local vendors, listen to exciting speakers educating you on native plants and citrus, eat delicious food from local food trucks and enjoy viewing the National Garden Club Flower Show.
Transportation to the gardens will be provided by The City of Aiken buses.

Located on Madison Street in Downtown Dublin GA, the Market on Madison is a premier open-air venue buzzing with activity. A community-driven experience, vendors and visitors come together to celebrate the richness of local flavors each Saturday morning 7:30 AM until 12:30 PM from April through mid October. Patrons can also find a variety of handmade crafts and original art, and find fun activities for the Little Sprouts throughout the season! Over the last several years, Dublin’s Farmers Market has experienced much growth, noting more than 30 vendors each week and 350 patrons during peak produce season.

The Black Gold Orchestra is a 19-piece big band based in Atlanta, Georgia. Founded in 2021 by GRAMMY-nominated producer, Larry Wilson, this band is an assembly of world class musicians, artists, and music educators. The collective resume of this ensemble boasts some of the biggest names in music and entertainment, such as Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones, Prince, Wynton Marsalis, Tyler Perry, George Duke, Pattie Labelle, Usher, Maxwell, Kurt Elling and Jazzmeia Horn, just to name a few. Many of them have performed on GRAMMY-winning and nominated albums and hold various awards and acclamations to their respective names.
Their debut album, “Genesis,” is a dynamic celebration of all Black American music, fusing musical elements such as jazz, R&B, soul, hip-hop, house, rock, blues and gospel through the lens of the big band tradition. The album features both original compositions from members of the band as well as fresh new arrangements of a few classic covers.

Our Super Spring Saturdays feature fun farm activities including wagon rides, petting zoo, jumping pillows, cow train, ziplines, paintball and much more! The activities will be open every Saturday from April 13 until May 25 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Be sure to try our delicious homemade strawberry ice cream, slushies, hand-squeezed lemonade, and fresh popped kettle corn while you’re here! Four of Cobb County's finest residents have graciously opened their gardens for the 21st Annual Garden Tour, May 18, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., to showcase how we can protect our pollinators. Let our docents take you through semi-tropical paradises, rows of rhododendrons, zen gardens, woodlands full of natives and quiet spaces for pollinators and people alike.
Stop by two MGVOCC projects: The William Root House in Marietta to walk through history, and The Wellness Garden at the Cobb County Farm Bureau to learn how to grow fresh produce.
Tickets: $21 in advance; $25 the day of the tour. Tickets can be purchased as of March 1 at cobbmastergardeners.com.
Children 17 and under are free.

What’s Up Wednesday (WUW) is a monthly program designed for preschoolers and children between the ages of 3-7. Children and their caregivers have short lesson in the galleries and then make a craft. WUW educational programming will start at 11 am at the Cherokee County History Center located at 221 E. Marietta St., Canton, GA 30114. Each program lasts approximately 1 hour. Admission to the Cherokee County History Center is not included. Tickets are non-refundable for this event.
Free for History Cherokee members (family membership level and up), $5 per child for non-members.

This year, Georgia offers two Free Fishing Days in honor of National Fishing and Boating week, Saturday, June 1st and Saturday, June 8th startinag at 7 AM. In addition, Georgia offers a Free Fishing Day in honor of National Hunting and Fishing Day on Saturday, September 28th. Georgia residents do not need a fishing license for fishing on free fishing days on public waters. Residents can fish on any public waters in the state including lakes, streams, ponds, and Public Fishing Areas (PFA). Residents do not need to obtain a Wildlife Management Area (WMA) license to fish on PFA’s or WMA’s. Drop your line at Hugh M Gillis PFA, River Bend WMA, or Beaverdam WMA. Take this opportunity to introduce someone to the fun of fishing!
