2025 Micromineral Symposium + Field Trips

Bring your microscopes and enjoy a four-day event learning about and viewing microminerals – crystals that are too small to see with the naked eye, but whose beauty are revealed through a microscope.

The event includes time looking at microcrystals, meeting with fellow micromounters, listening to lectures by top micro-mineralogists, a workshop on preparing and photographing microminerals and going on field trips to two of the Southeast’s top micromineral localities. 

Advance registration required. Recommended for ages 8+ with a working knowledge of geology, mineralogy and microscopy.

Prepaid registration is required by noon on Monday, Nov. 3, 2025. Registration includes Friday field trip; continental breakfast, symposium lectures, microscope time, and lunch buffet on Saturday, plus Sunday workshops.

Monday optional field trip is at an additional cost and requires symposium registration.
