The 35th Annual Cherokee County Mother’s Day Powwow & Indian Festival at Boling Park in Canton features activities for all audiences, including CreeAtive: Native American dancers; hoop dancer, Aztec dancers; tipis, Indian village; Creek Encampment; primitive skills; wildlife displays; Native American artisans; Save the Horses rescue; trampoline jump and activities for children. Mother’s Day Honor Dance and more. Grand entry takes place at 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Food will be served throughout the day and will include Native American cuisine such as buffalo burgers, roasted corn, frybread, Indian tacos and other dishes.

The festival will take place rain or shine. Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets are on sale at the gate. Children under age 5: free; children ages 6 to 12: $5; adults (13 and up): $15. For more information go to the website below or call (770) 735-6275.
