Event Description

Lillie Morris and Roxane Hollosi are looking forward to presenting their most recent work at Sacred Heart Cultural Center. The exhibition will run from Nov. 4 through Dec. 20. Their collection of abstract works promises to be a celebration of color and creativity, offering a sanctuary of beauty for our community in a time of recovery.

Join us for the opening reception: Monday, Nov. 4, from 4-6 p.m. in the Sacred Heart Great Hall.

Lillie and Roxane consider this event an opportunity to not only showcase their art, but also to foster community healing and connection in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene's recent impact on the Augusta area.

Lillie will be presenting a series of abstract paintings, each inspired by the emotional spectrum represented by the color red. She hopes these new, expressionistic paintings invite viewers to explore the power of red, often associated with passion, warmth, energy and action, offering a visual journey that ignites the imagination.

Roxane’s work complements Lillie’s with her dynamic mixed media collages and abstract paintings. Rooted in her personal connection to the Midwest and the serenity of nature, Roxane’s pieces resonate with layers of texture and depth, transforming natural inspirations into an immersive artistic experience.

In addition to the artwork, harpist Nell Morris will further add to the atmosphere of beauty that we hope to create.

Our hope is to lift the spirits of the Augusta community, reminding us all of the timeless and transcendent power of art.
