Held at Railroad Park each year on September 17th, Bells Across America commemorates the signing of the United States Constitution on September 17, 1787. Communities across the nation participate in the observance by ringing bells at exactly 4 PM Eastern Time. In Dublin, attendees will gather as a bell is rung 13 times, symbolizing the original thirteen colonies and honoring the birth of our constitutional republic.
The ceremony will begin at 3:45 PM and feature patriotic songs performed by local schoolchildren, historical interpretations in colonial attire, and a reading of The Preamble, reflections on the importance of preserving the freedoms and responsibilities established by the Constitution.
