The University of North Georgia is pleased to welcome acclaimed cellist Dr. Hyugrai “Ray” Kim from the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra as a guest artist for a special duo recital with UNG faculty member Dr. Sanghie Lee on Feb. 13 at 7:30 p.m.
The concert, titled "Harmonic Landscapes," will feature three iconic works for cello and piano: Brahms’s "First Sonata for Cello and Piano," Debussy’s "Sonata for Cello and Piano," and Rachmaninoff’s "Sonata for Cello and Piano."
The combination of Dr. Hyugrai Kim’s virtuosity with Dr. Sanghie Lee’s collaboration promises to be a thrilling musical experience. The repertoire they’re performing offers a rich variety of emotions and technical challenges.
For UNG students, having access to such high-level musicianship in an intimate setting like this is an incredible learning opportunity. Dr. Kim's background in chamber music, particularly his work with prestigious ensembles, will undoubtedly enrich the performance even further.
