Children’s Museum of Atlanta celebrates Latinx Heritage Month. Families will have the chance to pay tribute to the Latinx community with enlightening educational experiences and captivating cultural presentations. While young ones immerse themselves in constructing roller coasters and crafting comics, they simultaneously delve into the lives of noteworthy Latinx figures. The event culminates with special performances by Maculelê-Capoeira and Alma Mexicana, adding an extra layer of excitement to the occasion.

CMA On Stage
Storytime: “A New Kind of Wild” by Zara González Hoang + Sing Along in Español!
Session A: 11a.m. and noon / Session B: 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Jane’s Innovation Station
Guests can design their own rollercoaster cars and launch them down the CMA loop-de-loop to demonstrate kinetic and potential energy. Participants will also celebrate members of the Latinx community who have contributed to the world of thrill rides and themed entertainment.

Science Bar
Exploring the achievements of Puerto Rican physician José Celso Barbosa, children engage in a dialogue concerning the significance of maintaining good health and nurturing their hearts.

Art Studio
Little artists can use toothbrushes to paint and make a mess while exploring colors and patterns, helping them develop social and fine motor skills. In the afternoon session, kids will learn about some of the most influential Latinx comic book artists as they draw their own action-packed comics.

Maculelê-Capoeira Performance

In honor of Latinx Heritage Month, Museum attendees can experience a special performance by Maculelê-Capoeira.

Guests can enjoy watching a traditional Mexican dance performed by Alma Mexicana to celebrate Latinx heritage.

Trick or Treat Halloween Party
Saturday, Oct. 21 and 28 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Visitors will not want to miss the Museum's spooktabulous after-hours Halloween bash for the entire family! Families should purchase tickets to join the Museum in celebrating Halloween with an exciting lineup of spooky and enjoyable crafts, a costume parade, DJ Dewayne, trick-or-treating and other thrilling activities.
