Event Description

The Cohutta Song Fest will be an intimate festival that should attract die-hard music lovers from around the northwest Georgia and east Tennessee area.

We are planning for more than 20 singer songwriters from across the region, as well as nationally known singer-songwriters.

There will be four venues throughout historic downtown Cohutta. The event begins on Friday evening with performances by regional songwriters. Saturday events will include up to 40 arts and crafts vendors, and in the evening six finalists in the songwriting will compete for first place prize of $250, which be be followed by a concert featuring the eight-time IBMA singer-songwriter Becky Buller and award-winning actor and singer-songwriter Ed Snodderly.

The Cohutta Song Fest is a two-day festival featuring emerging songwriters as well as regionally and nationally acclaimed artists in a small, southern, railroad town. Intimate listening rooms will be created in restaurants, the community center and outdoor spaces in a unique small-town setting. There will be numerous free concerts as well as ticketed events.

The Song Fest events on Saturday also coincide with the monthly cruise-in sponsored by the Pharoahs Car Club of North Georgia.
