Faculty Chamber Recital with The Crown Mountain Trio

The faculty members of the University of North Georgia (UNG) music department will perform a chamber recital on Tuesday, Feb 13, at 7:30 p.m. in the Gloria Shott Performance Hall, Dahlonega, and on Friday, Feb. 16, at 7:30 p.m. in Gainesville Performing Arts Center. The program features the piano trios by Arensky and Kapustin. Timothy Fitzgerald Boyd, professor of clarinet, will join to perform the Grand Duo for Clarinet and Piano by Weber.

The Crown Mountain Trio consists of faculty members of the UNG music department: Miya (piano), Phil Snyder (cello), and Yeasol Kang (violin). The ensemble was named after the mountain near the UNG Dahlonega campus. The Crown Mountain Trio was recently chosen as a first prize winner of the 2024 "Golden Classical Music Awards" international competition and is scheduled to perform at the Carnegie Hall in New York City this March, with the generosity of the University of North Georgia and the UNG music department.
