WORKSHOP (10 a.m.-12 p.m.)

Join Tellus staff for a workshop millions of years in the making. Activities will include a tour of the Fossil Gallery and a hands-on fossil activity. All participants will also excavate and take home their own fossil fish from the Green River Formation.*

LECTURE (1-2 p.m.)

Join Tellus Curator Ryan Roney for a discussion of various fossils discovered in Georgia and learn safe collection methods. Plus, bring your unearthed treasures with you and let our experts assist you in identifying them.

*Advance registration for members only until Friday, Aug. 2. Registration closes at noon on Wednesday, Aug. 14, or when the workshop reaches maximum capacity. Advance registration is required; limited space available. Children must be accompanied by a paying adult. Cancellation policy: 48 hours before for a full refund.

Lecture is included with workshop admission, but can be attended as a stand-alone event. General admission prices apply to the lecture if not attending as part of the workshop.
