George Jackson and Brad Kolodner are two of the most prominent old-time musicians performing today. On Monday, March 3, they will be offering a free workshop at noon and a free concert at 7:30 p.m. Both events are open to the public and will take place in Shott Auditorium at UNG.

George and Brad have won prizes at the Appalachian String Band Festival, recorded countless solo and collaborative albums and established themselves as leading educators. The fiddle and banjo duo is at the heart of old-time music, and George and Brad have perfected the art. They recorded their first duo album, Shady Lane, in 2024, and they are currently touring the US to share their music. They play a mix of traditional and new tunes with extraordinary sophistication and nuance.
