Basket weaving at Foxfire is a hands-on parent-child workshop.
Learn the art of traditional basket weaving with Paula Puckett in this fun, hands-on class designed for kids and their favorite grown-ups! Each "team" of one adult and one child will work together to create a beautiful, functional basket using time-honored techniques.
Bring scissors, a towel, a small bucket and a snack or packed lunch. The morning will be spent weaving, followed by a lunch break and time to explore the scenic trails and exhibits at the Foxfire Museum.
Date: July 8 and 26, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Location: Foxfire Museum
Cost: $75 per team (1 adult + 1 child)
Materials fee: $10 per person if both participants want to make their own basket
Class Limit: 4 teams (8 total participants)
