The Davenport House – an iconic c. 1820 property owned and operated by Historic Savannah Foundation – invites children of all ages to explore the literary arts at a special Family Day event on Sunday, July 27, at the award-winning house museum.
This community-focused event will celebrate literacy and feature opportunities for creative expression through reading, writing and poetry. Enjoy a pop-up shop from local favorite The Stacks bookstore, personalized poems crafted on-site by poet Alex Wilkinson and a hands-on alphabet embroidery sampler activity led by textile expert Victoria Crabtree.
Family Day at the Davenport House Museum is free and open to the public.
