Sip, stroll, and celebrate the arts on Sunday, May 4, as the City of Suwanee, in partnership with Explore Gwinnett, will present a special one-time event, Mimosas & a Matinee.
This event will span both Town Center Park and Town Center on Main and showcase the arts in an extra bubbly way. The 8th installment of Suwanee’s signature SculpTour exhibit officially opens with 24 new sculptures placed throughout the two parks – the largest exhibit ever! These pieces will be on display for a two-year term, and join nearly 30 other works throughout the downtown area.
Grab a mimosa (or a soda, mocktail or other delicious beverage) and some bites at Suwanee Circle – the new destination under the pavilion at Town Center on Main. Hosted walking tours will begin at 11 a.m. and depart from Suwanee Circle (at the pavilion). Several SculpTour artists will be stationed at their pieces to discuss their craft and take questions from guests. This event is for all ages and will surely be a unique experience to remember.
In addition to the art tour, the day is packed with performances and activities for all ages:
11 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12 p.m. – Walking art tours depart from Suwanee Circle
1 p.m. – Artists' Reception at the Suwanee Arts & Welcome Center (open to the public)
