Event Description

IT'S A GOOD NIGHT TO STAY UP PAST YOUR BEDTIME!

Join us on the night of Aug. 27 for a partial lunar eclipse where Earth’s shadow will cover 96% of the Moon’s surface.

We’re bringing together WSB-TV Chief Meteorologist Emeritus Glenn Burns and NASA Ambassador Chris Thompson to guide you through every phase of the eclipse, break down the science, and answer all your space questions live.

View the eclipse in our Observatory.

Explore museum galleries.

See live eclipse demonstrations in the Planetarium.

Visit our interactive Blue Crew stations to learn more about the Moon’s distance from Earth and the optical illusion of moonlight.
