Come join us for Pioneer Day at Travelers Rest State Historic Site, historical demonstration will be going on all day long from 10am-4pm. Blacksmithing, blackpowder demonstrations, Stage coach that you can climb up in and snap a photo. Candle dipping, spinning, weaving,fur trappers , Cornhusk dolls, basketry, historic Foodways, corn shelling and visit with Miss Meeley Jarrett. Come take a tour through a 230 year old stage coach Inn and walk in the foot steps of the families who lived there and the travelers that called it home for a night. Walk the grounds and see the Jarrett buggy and many more historic structures that grace the landscape. Hungry no problem grab some boiled peanuts or fresh pork rinds and sit a spell.
