On Sunday, Aug. 17, History Cherokee invites the public to step inside one of Cherokee County’s most unique historic landmarks during a free Rock Barn Open House, taking place from 1-4 p.m.
This is a rare opportunity to explore the interior of the beautiful Rock Barn, originally constructed in 1906 by Augustus Coggins as part of his Crescent Farm.
Today, the Rock Barn has a new life as a special events venue, hosting weddings, lectures, community gatherings, and private celebrations. During the Open House, guests can tour the historic space and learn about its past and preservation.
With a capacity of up to 180 guests for reception-style events, the Rock Barn is a favorite rental choice for couples, families, organizations and local businesses.
Whether you’re interested in history, looking for a unique venue, or just want to explore a community treasure, History Cherokee welcomes you to stop by and discover the story behind the stone walls of the Rock Barn.
