Savannah Stopover Music Festival and Eastern Wharf will present a free riverfront concert on Friday, April 17, from 7-10 p.m., featuring rock band Same As It Ever Was.
Known as the ultimate Talking Heads tribute band, Same As It Ever Was is a seven-piece group that performs impressive covers of the group’s iconic songs, including “Burning Down The House,” "Psycho Killer” and “Take Me to the River.” This talented band from Knoxville, Tenn., is known for delivering high-energy performances that respect the integrity of Talking Heads’ groundbreaking music, while bringing their own style and infectious spirit to cuts from the band’s signature “77,” “Stop Making Sense” and “Naked” albums.
While the show is free and open to the public, VIP tickets are available for $76.19 on Eventbrite.
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Local food trucks will be on-site.
