Earth’s dynamic surface has created a varied and beautiful landscape, but it also creates disasters that harm human life and livelihood. These disasters challenge scientists to discover why they occur and how to predict them. The greater warning we have, the better we can prepare. In this exhibit you will find out about hurricanes and volcanoes, make a tornado, create an earthquake and see a tsunami in action.

You will also learn about how to prepare to keep your family safe in the face of disaster.
