June 27: Radical Reptiles – Explore the scaly and often slithery world of reptiles! Discover the amazing senses and defenses of animals such as snakes, lizards, and turtles. Young explorers will learn how humans can help our not-so-furry friends and develop respect and appreciation for reptiles.
July 25: Small But Mighty – Join us for a special night where the tables are turned – instead of young explorers seeing animals in their habitats, animals are coming to see us in our Conservation Action Resource Center (ARC)! Meet our smallest Ambassador Animals with the biggest personalities and learn what makes them special as individuals and as species. Explore the human-animal connection through activities designed to engage young explorers in thinking about how humans can show care for the small animals that share our planet.
August 8: Curious Cats – Embark on a wild adventure to the world of lions, tigers, and leopards! Young explorers will engage in activities to learn about the fantastic feline adaptations that help these animals hunt, hide, and survive. Join us in discovering the superpowers of cats!
August 22: Savanna Giants – Giants are among us! Join us as we explore the world of the positively enormous animals that roam the African Savanna, including rhinos, elephants, giraffes, and ostriches! What adaptations set these animals apart? Join us as we answer this question and learn more about the role humans have in protecting our gigantic animal friends!
September 5: Bird Brains – Soar into the fascinating lives of birds, from tweeting songbirds to majestic raptors and colorful flamingos! Young explorers will gain empathy for feathered friends while discovering how beaks, feet, and feathers help birds adapt to every challenge. How could a simple change in a bird’s beak make all the difference for survival? Join us as we find out!
October 24: Mystifying Mammals – Come discover the world of wonderfully unique and bizarre mammals, including binturongs, maras, and naked mole rats. Join our Zoo Educators as we explore the remarkable anatomical and behavioral adaptations that allow these animals to thrive in their environments. Can your young explorer unlock the science behind the mysteries of these lesser-known mammals?

Seven Ladies is a new exhibition focused on Katharine Judkins Clark, Elinor Adler Dillard, Anna Colquitt Hunter, Lucy Barrow McIntire, Dorothy Ripley Roebling, Nola McEvoy Roos and Jane Adair Wright. Together, these seven women joined forces to purchase and protect the Isaiah Davenport House, an 1820 Federal-style home on Columbia Square, from being razed and founded Historic Savannah Foundation, a permanent organization dedicated to saving and preserving historic buildings throughout the city.
Through historic photographs, archival materials and interpretative storytelling, this inspiring exhibition explores each of these influential women, including their personal histories, lived experiences and the convictions that compelled them to serve their community at a pivotal moment in Savannah’s history.
Open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., this exclusive exhibition will remain on display at the Murray C. Perlaman and Wayne C. Spear Preservation Center inside the Historic Kennedy Pharmacy throughout 2026. - Northwest GeorgiaKids & Family
